Bexleyheath Academy is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to thrive. We are dedicated to inspiring young minds and are currently seeking a passionate and motivated SEND Teacher to join our dynamic team.
As a SEND Teacher at Bexleyheath Academy, you will play a key role in supporting and nurturing students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons across a range of subjects including core subjects, Humanities, and PSHE at Key Stage 3. It would be advantageous if you are also able to teach at Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEND, ensuring they are both accessible and challenging
2. Adapt teaching methods and resources to cater to the individual needs of students across a variety of age groups and ability ranges.
3. Foster a caring and supportive classroom environment that encourages students to reach their full potential.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
5. Contribute to the wider school community and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.

7. Teachers at Bexleyheath Academy have one 'flex' period a week to either come in late or leave early. This is with the understanding that they can complete their work offsite.
