Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to join our team and help drive our expansion in the security services industry.
Position Overview
As a Business Development Manager at New Gen Security Services, you will be responsible for generating leads, closing sales, and driving the growth of the business in the security sector. You will be expected to develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients, pitch our services, and close deals. Once a sale is secured, the customers will be handed over to the management team for day-to-day operations, allowing you to focus on continuously generating new business.
In addition to a competitive salary, you will also be eligible for a one-time commission of 5-10% of the profit from the sale for the first month of any customer you bring on board.
The salary offered is for an initial 6-month trial period, with the potential for review and permanent placement based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Generation: Identify, research, and generate leads within the security services market, including targeting businesses, events, and facilities that could benefit from our services.
* Sales & Closing Deals: Pitch our services to prospective clients, overcome objections, and close sales that contribute to the growth of the company.
* Client Handover: Once a sale is made, hand over the customer to the management team, ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining positive client relationships.
* Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and industry regulations that can impact the business and our offerings.
* Brand Promotion: Promote New Gen Security Services as a trusted, professional provider of security solutions across various sectors.
* Networking: Attend events, conferences, and business functions to expand your network and generate new leads.
* Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of leads, sales, and customer interactions, providing regular updates to senior management on your progress and performance.
* Cross-Selling Opportunities: Leverage knowledge of facilities management (if applicable) to introduce additional services or solutions where appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience: Proven experience in business development within the security sector, with a track record of successfully generating leads, closing sales, and managing client relationships.
* Facilities Management Experience: Experience in facilities management is a plus, as it may help identify additional cross-selling opportunities.
* Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of the security industry, including services, market needs, and key players.
* Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively pitch and negotiate with potential clients.
* Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented: A self-starter with a results-driven approach to business development and sales.
* Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is essential as travel may be required for client meetings and site visits.
* 5-Year Checkable History: Candidates must be able to provide a 5-year checkable employment history.
Salary & Benefits
