Job Accountabilities
* Contribute to the effective management of incidents and emergencies to minimise their impact on company assets, employees and the community for Water and Wastewater functions.
* Clearly communicate accurate and appropriate information to employees, contractual partners and other external parties.
* Respond quickly and appropriately to field force problems in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Record absence and appraise holiday requests against the resource plan in order to provide efficient use of resources.
* Liaise with field teams on site to understand backlog and data quality issues.
* Lead on standards, consistency and improvements across the team and with the wider Planning and Performance Team.
* Ensure sufficient Forward Planner, Work Management Technician and Scheduling Analyst (Maintenance Sourcing only) coverage to meet the demands of multiple business areas.
* Maintain strong working relationships with field teams and managers.
* Manage Forward Planner, Work Management Technician and Scheduling Analyst (Maintenance Sourcing only) performance in accordance with SLAs.
* Ensure that all Water & Wastewater job details are communicated to the field within an agreed standard of service.
* Ensure all in-day urgent/emergency requests received are processed in a timely manner.
Knowledge and Skills
To be successful in this role you'll need a good understanding of Water and Wastewater processes along with an understanding of company policy and procedures. You'll also need:
* Ability to facilitate effective performance conversations.
* Proficient on the MARS applications and systems used within Work Planning and Work Scheduling.
* Must be able to professionally represent the business function ensuring that all necessary data is captured.
* Must be able to communicate effectively in order to provide a high quality service (both verbal and written, with good interpersonal skills).
* Ability to use a variety of techniques (multiple approaches) in order to influence and facilitate changes.
* Able to cope with fluctuating workloads and dealing with high volumes of work at any given time while maintaining the required attention to detail.
* Flexible to support Water & Wastewater Operations within their operational hours.
* Line management and leadership skills.
Additional Information
Full UK Driving Licence as on-site meeting attendance can be required as part of this role.
