Our client, a provider of international transport solutions by air, road and sea, are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team in Redditch.
Business Development Manager Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be a key member of our Operations team, focused on driving new business through cold calling and face-to-face visits.
You will negotiate with Air, Road, and Sea Freight suppliers to secure the best rates, allowing you to prepare and submit accurate quotations. You will also follow up on these quotations to close deals and secure trial bookings.
Your role will be to take ownership of expanding business opportunities and fostering long-term client relationships.
Business Development ManagerKey Responsibilities:
1. Developing new business opportunities.
2. Managing accounts for existing clients.
3. Cultivating and maintaining client relationships to maximize business growth.
4. Negotiating with AIR, ROAD, and SEA freight providers to secure competitive rates.
5. Preparing and submitting quotations.
6. Following up on quotations to finalize and secure trial bookings.
7. Visiting both new and existing clients (approximately one day per week).
8. Collaborating internally with the sales team to assist with quotations and service details.
