Job Title
Mechanical Fitter - Pharma
A Mechanical Fitter is required for a manufacturer in the pharmaceutical industry based in Liverpool.
The successful candidate will work on projects from mechanical handover through to completion of build (including installations at client sites). As part of the Mechanical Assembly team, you will be responsible for the assembly and fitting of mechanical components for bespoke process equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Control and ownership of mechanical build documentation.
* Mechanical component assembly and fitting in-line with tight tolerances.
* Collaboration with Electrical / Control engineers to ensure completion of the equipment build.
* Liaison with engineering to resolve problems relating to fit, function or design.
* Inspection of Mechanical parts, Main Fabrications and Pressure Vessels at supplier facilities.
* Work in a safe manner, ensuring H&S requirements are met.
* Reporting of non-conformances via quality systems.
* Support to Production team in daily activities and provide regular contract updates.
* Support in off-site installations at customer sites.
Requirements
* Time served mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
* Experience within a similar role.
* Pressure vessel testing experience (desirable).
* Keen eye for detail.
* Problem solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to read and understand assembly drawings.
Remuneration
Salary dependent on experience: £35,000-£42,000 per annum (plus overtime opportunities to earn up to £45k-£50k+)
4-day week (Monday to Thursday)
