Responsibilities include but not limited to:
1. Develop and execute workspace platform service strategies in alignment with A*STAR's IT objectives.
2. Oversee day-to-day operations of M365 and workspace platform services, ensuring high-quality service delivery through system specialists, support staff, and external vendors.
3. Lead strategic initiatives and projects related to Whole of A*STAR (WOA) objectives, ensuring timely execution and thorough documentation.
4. Monitor and optimize service performance, implementing improvements to meet or exceed SLA targets.
5. Manage vendor relationships, oversee contract evaluations, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and standards.
6. Track, maintain, and ensure compliance across all workspace platform services, particularly within M365 environments.
7. Develop and manage budgets for platform-related projects, including licensing, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
8. Implement and uphold platform security policies, SOPs, and guidelines to safeguard A*STAR's M365 environments, in collaboration with the central security team.
9. Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection and contract management, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
10. Identify and address training needs within the workspace platform team to foster morale, enhance competencies, and maintain productivity.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified, ITIL) are a plus.
2. Minimum 5-8 years of experience managing Microsoft 365 environments and platform services.
3. Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 services (e.g., Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Power Suite, Viva Suite) and administration.
4. Experience in vendor management, contract evaluation, and procurement processes.
5. Proven leadership in managing teams and delivering high-quality IT services in large-scale organizations.
6. Solid understanding of compliance, IT governance, and best practices for workspace platform services.
7. Demonstrated ability to lead IT projects, including platform upgrades and strategic initiatives, while meeting deadlines.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify service improvement opportunities.
9. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and maintain service performance.
10. Proficient in budgeting and resource planning for IT projects and operations.
11. Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
12. Awareness of emerging trends in workspace platforms, with a proactive approach to improving operations.
