**There are two SAFE Officer vacancies available, one permanent position, and one fixed term contract for 12 months. Starting date of both positions is 1st September 2025. Earlier start may be considered.**The successful candidate will work with the Pastoral Team supporting our behaviour and attendance strategies.Starting salary: FTE £25,992 per annum, pro rata. The working week will be 37 hours spread equally over the School week, term time only, plus inset days. This is equivalent to 39 working weeks of the year.
The SAFE Officer will work within the Pastoral Team under the day to day direction of the Vice Principal with support from the Assistant Principal (Attendance / Pupil Premium) and Heads of House.
The specific duties and responsibilities pertaining to the SAFE Officer are to be read in conjunction with the School’s Attendance Policy, Behaviour Policy and related Protocols which should be complied with at all times.
The successful candidate will support students to overcome their barriers to learning and maximise the opportunities provided for them.
In addition, they will support students who may be exhibiting behavioural, emotional or social problems in school to achieve their full potential.
There is a requirement to represent the school when requested at Interagency or other professional meetings.
A good working knowledge and understanding of IT and ability to use the full suite of Microsoft packages is necessary to ensure the maintenance of accurate and up to date student information on the school's management information system.In March 2018 Ofsted confirmed that the School continues to be a Good school.
