Full job description
Are you an experienced Personal Assistant looking for a new challenge? This is an exciting opportunity for a part-time Personal Assistant to support the 'Director of Undergraduate Primary Care Studies' and 'Workforce and Learning Research Group Lead'.
You will provide comprehensive, high-quality office administration and executive support to Professor Sophie Park. No previous background in research or health is necessary.
This is a responsible and pivotal position where you will be responsible for scheduling and calendar management for Professor Sophie Park, preparing paperwork for meetings, sourcing venues, and coordinating travel arrangements to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day business operations. You will work closely with colleagues within the department and across the university to ensure coordination on relevant issues, some of which may be sensitive, highly confidential, and/or urgent.
You will be educated to A level or equivalent and must have significant experience as a Personal Assistant as well as experience working with senior members of staff. Highly proficient IT skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills are essential, as are excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines. You should also be self-motivated, resilient, with a proactive approach, and a commitment to high standards.
This is a part-time and permanent position. We would preferably like the post holder to work Tuesdays as this aligns with the Undergraduate Teaching Group’s core teaching days, and you will be able to agree on other working arrangements with your line manager.
For further information or to discuss the post, please contact Emma Wiley (emma.wiley@phc.ox.ac.uk).
The Department is committed to the continuing professional development of its professional services staff, and in-house and on-the-job training will be provided as appropriate.
You will be required to upload a CV and Supporting Statement as part of your online application. The Supporting Statement should include a cover letter and clearly describe how you meet each of the selection criteria listed in the job description.
The closing date for applications is 12:00 noon on Monday 11 November 2024.
Interviews are expected to be held during the week commencing Monday 25 November 2024.
