Title: Head of Marketing and Digital
Location: Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham, S60 1DX
2. REPORTING TO:
Chief Executive Officer
3. OVERALL PURPOSE OF POST:
To take ownership for all marketing, advertising and digital strategies for Magna.
Working across the organisation, and with partners, to deliver results to enhance reputation, build income generation, audience engagement, advocacy and a strong, recognisable and trusted brand.
Actively supporting and briefing the CEO, this role will provide high level management of all marketing initiatives in support of Magna’s vision, mission, commercial strategy and other plans as required.
4. MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE:
* Devise and deliver Magna’s marketing and communications strategy and brand to positively and measurably showcase all aspects of Magna’s work leading to measurable outcomes such as audience growth, diversification and development, and uplifts in income generation.
* Take ownership of Magna’s digital offering including, but not limited to, the website and social media channels. Manage Magna’s content creation and marketing communications across all relevant media.
* Create and implement a Marketing Strategy to deliver impactful multi-channel campaigns based on data and insight; identify opportunities and lead on media campaigns to promote Magna’s offering, events, commercial activity and branding.
* Develop and manage the marketing and advertising budget to gain maximum effect with the resources available.
* Use an audience focused approach working across the organisation to further embed this approach. Manage Magna’s content creation and marketing communications across all relevant media, including digital channels and social media.
* Provide regular reports and recommendations to the CEO and Trustees regarding KPIs, opportunities and progress against strategic goals. Identify the effectiveness and impact of current and future marketing initiatives and optimising accordingly.
* Develop and promote our venue as a film location.
* Actively support and demonstrate the values of the organisation in all activities.
* Be an ambassador for Magna.

* Undertake other duties at a comparable level of responsibility when required.
6. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
* For the success of the organisation, you may be asked to work occasional evenings, weekend and Bank holidays.

8. HEALTH AND SAFETY
a. In accordance with sections 7 and 8 of the 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act ensure the health and safety of all staff and resources within the post-holder’s area of responsibility, i.e. delegated responsibility in relation to the post-holder’s duties and personal responsibilities.
b. In addition, the Management of the Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992 detail the following:
* Employees must inform their employer or supervisor of any work situation that might present a serious and imminent danger to health and safety.
* Employees must inform their employer or supervisor of any shortcomings in the health and safety arrangements, even when no danger exists.
c. The post-holder must be aware of the health and safety implications of working with large industrial objects.

10. SALARY
The salary for this role is £34,000 to £38,000 dependant on experience.
