Senior Travelling Housekeeper Job Description Marcilly Recruitment’s client, an UHNW couple in Belgravia, is seeking a professional and discreet Senior Travelling Housekeeper to work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the principal's various properties internationally. The couple do not have children and travel extensively, up to six months of the year. They would like the successful Travelling Housekeeper to travel either with the principals or ahead of them to set up the residence ahead of their arrival. The principals can spend up to a month at a time away, so they needs someone who is happy travelling up to six months of the year, and sometimes at the last minute. This is ideally a live-out role when based in London, their main residence. This will be a live-in role when based at one of their international residences. You will either be on site or separate accommodation will be provided. This role will be working five days a week, some flexibility required on those days when abroad. The days are flexible as the principals travel a lot. The candidate must be flexible and willing to adapt to occasional changes in days and hours. The ability to travel within Europe and the US is essential as may be requested for up to 6 months of the year (accommodation offered when travelling). However, the successful Senior Travelling Housekeeper must be dog friendly as they may occasionally have to step in with feeds when the two live-in dog carers are on holiday etc. Senior Travelling Housekeeper Responsibilities: Keeping residence clean and tidy throughout the day. Being mindful of all the finishes and care required. General laundry and ironing including daily laundry, ironing and change of towels plus bi-weekly change of bedding. Clothing care - washing, ironing and steaming plus organising clothes, shoes etc to dry cleaners, cobblers etc. Must have prior experience of luxury wardrobe management. Maintain up-keep of furniture, art, china, collectibles, crystal and silver polishing. Keep constant supply of household essentials (water, coffee etc) and cleaning materials. Prepare for arrival of visitors and various needs when staying. Assistance with luggage, packing and unpacking for journeys. Shopping and ad hoc errands as required. Maintenance when principals are not in residence. Co-ordinating deliveries and maintenance visits. Cooking of simple, tasty, classic meals is beneficial. They are definitely looking for a high-quality senior housekeeper / house manager calibre candidate who will stay long-term, and in return you will be well looked after by the family. The successful Senior Travelling Housekeeper must have a minimum of eight years' experience in a housekeeping role, working with UHNWs in a private household or superyacht setting. They UHNW couple are searching for a senior candidate with longevity in all previous roles, you will be required to provide written and verbal references for all previous positions. There is one other housekeeper in London who is more junior and will require some mentoring and training. The family then have a driver of 30 years and another longstanding house person responsible for maintenance.
