The Role:
Oxfam Great Britain is seeking a Senior Privacy Analyst to join our Data Protection team on a maternity cover basis until June 2025. This role is part of our growth and development efforts to raise awareness and support culture change regarding data and data rights across the organization.
As a Senior Privacy Analyst, you will ensure compliance with data protection regulations, manage data protection risks, handle data subject requests, provide expert advice, conduct privacy impact assessments, and deliver training to staff. You will also help build a network of local data protection focal points to ensure a consistent approach to data protection.
Your work will support Oxfam’s mission to create a world where everyone can thrive by protecting data rights and fighting injustices and inequalities that fuel poverty.

Ideal candidates will have:
Experience:
* Experience in a privacy or data protection role, preferably in a large organization.
* Proven track record managing data privacy projects, conducting privacy impact assessments, and ensuring GDPR compliance.
* Experience providing strategic advice on data protection to stakeholders.
Knowledge:
* Deep understanding of data protection laws, including GDPR.
* Knowledge of information security principles.
* Awareness of ethical considerations in data privacy, especially in humanitarian contexts.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret legislation into practical policies.
* Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
* Ability to work collaboratively in multicultural environments.
* Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and projects.
