Senior Procurement Specialist Location: UK flexible (Hybrid - Paisley or London) Hours: 35 per week Salary: £37,949 - £45,268 per annum (DOE) Contract type: Fixed term contract (12 months - maternity cover) Are you a procurement professional with extensive experience in strategic procurement projects? Do you have experience in developing and proactively delivering end to end procurement processes?
As as Senior Procurement Specialist, you will manage and deliver end to end procurement strategies in a capable, thorough and professional manner. The goal is to achieve the business targets and mitigate risk whilst ensuring value for money, savings and efficiencies. You will focus on regular communication with stakeholders, strategy development, project management, reporting management information and all activities related to the tender to contract process. What does a typical day for aSenior Procurement Specialist look like? You'll be:
Developing and leading assigned sourcing projects.
Stakeholder management, market analysis, supplier & spend management.
Providing expert advice on end-to-end procurement lifecycle.
Engaging in category strategy definition & implementation to help achieve best value for British Red Cross.
What do you need to be a successful Senior ProcurementSpecialist? Qualified to degree level (or equivalent by experience) with membership (or working towards one)of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to collect, manipulate, and deliver data for insightful management information.
Experience of negotiating, awarding and managing contracts throughout the procurement lifecycle, with knowledge of relevant markets, products and services.
Experience in HR services and IT and Telecoms highly desirable.
Developing and leading assigned sourcing strategies.
Experience in managing large value categories.
Ability to manage suppliers across a large supply base, with strong stakeholder management skills.
