Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Research and Development (R&D) Project Manager to lead key R&D initiatives on a 6-month contract, outside IR35. Based in Warwick with the flexibility of 1 day onsite and 4 remote working days per week, this role is ideal for someone with a technical background in design engineering and 3-5 years of project management experience in an R&D or technical environment. Key Responsibilities Project Management: Lead R&D projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring alignment with Siemens’ strategic goals and innovation standards. Resource and Time Management: Create, manage, and monitor detailed project plans, ensuring optimal resource allocation, on-time delivery, and adherence to budgets. Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to align project goals, establish clear communication channels, and ensure project requirements are met. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and develop contingency plans to maintain project momentum and adapt to challenges. Reporting and Documentation: Provide regular updates, prepare project reports, and ensure thorough documentation at each project stage for transparency and accountability. Required Qualifications Experience: 3-5 years of project management experience within an R&D or technical engineering environment. Technical Knowledge: Previous hands-on experience in design engineering or similar technical roles, with an understanding of product development and design principles. Project Management Skills: Expertise in project planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement in a technical environment. Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. Project Management Certification (Preferred): PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
