We have an exciting new opportunity to be part of the Model Manufacturing team as Model Maker - Nights. The successful candidate will have previous experience in model making in a high-level motorsport environment, good attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure. The candidate should work positively and enthusiastically in a small team and have a flexible attitude to help fulfill the requirements of the department and team as a whole.
Working Night Shift in the Model Shop Team, the model maker will primarily focus on the manufacture, assembly, and testing of components for our wind tunnel test program, ensuring all aero and race car requirements are met to the highest possible standard. Wind tunnel sessions in rotation are also a key requirement of the role.

You will be responsible for:
* Working night shifts as part of the Model Shop Team, focusing on the manufacture, assembly, and testing of components for the wind tunnel test program.
* Ensuring all aerodynamic and race car requirements are met to the highest standard.
* Supporting weekend wind tunnel sessions on a rotating basis.
* Identifying potential part shortages or quality concerns and reporting these issues to Model department leads.
* Preparing parts for wind tunnel sessions with meticulous attention to detail.
* Actively participating in meetings and contributing proactively.
* Developing methods to improve manufacturing times, quality, and efficiency within the department.
* Maintaining in-depth knowledge of wind tunnel models and related systems.
* Performing inspections of model assemblies as needed.
* Meeting the demands of busy periods and maintaining skill levels at industry standards.
* Working confidently under pressure to meet targets and deliver within required timescales.
* Addressing technical challenges with a problem-solving mindset and seeking guidance when necessary.
* Exhibiting results-oriented decision-making and demonstrating a commitment to Health & Safety protocols.
Key skills and knowledge required:
* Demonstrable experience in the manufacture of wind tunnel models and aero testing components using various manufacturing processes.
* Previous wind tunnel testing experience is essential.
* Excellent problem-solving and adaptability skills.
* Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple projects concurrently.
* Effective communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-driven mindset.
* Exceptional attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills.
