Salary is: Up to £45,000 per annum (plus on call allowance £700 per annum)

About the role
Sycamore Short Breaks is situated in Banbury. In this warm and welcoming house, we provide residential short breaks that support children and young people with learning disabilities aged 5 to 18 with severe, profound, or multiple learning and/or physical disabilities who may have complex health care needs. Sycamore supports young people to achieve their potential, have fun and make friends within a safe supportive environment.
We require a suitability experienced Registered Manager to lead a core residential care team, in this established short breaks Children's Home. The home is open 5 nights per week and closed on bank holidays.
In this role, you'll be leading the team while working alongside the Residential Workers, Team Leader's and Business Support Officer's. You'll also be working closely with OFSTED, and the wider cluster of services we provide in the Oxfordshire area and will have the support of the Area Manager and our network of Residential Managers too.
Collaborating with professionals from different fields will ensure the holistic development of the children and young people we work with. This includes maintaining communication and coordination with local authorities, as well as other professionals who play a role in their care and support. Working together will help create a comprehensive support system that enables the children and young people to achieve their full potential.
As a leader in this role, you'll inspire and motivate your team to deliver meaningful support that changes children's lives.
What are we looking for from you?
* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or the statutory equivalent), or willingness to work towards this.
* Experience as Registered Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager, passionate and committed to improving the lives of children and young people.
* A commitment to helping children with disabilities and mental health needs to thrive and reach their potential.
* Fun and enthusiasm with the ability to motivate others.
* A team player that can provide leadership and support to all staff.
* A calm and sensible approach to challenging situations and problem- solving skills.
* An ability to form relationships with the young people, families and all professionals involved in their care.
