Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of multiple civil engineering and solar sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both civil works and solar energy projects, ensuring that all site activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. This role involves managing teams, coordinating project schedules, monitoring site progress, and ensuring that quality standards are met. What will you be doing? Oversee multiple civil and solar construction sites, ensuring smooth operations and timely project delivery. Lead and motivate site supervisors, technicians, and contractors across various locations to achieve project milestones and operational goals. Monitor the quality of work on-site, ensuring all civil and solar installation processes adhere to industry standards and project specifications. Plan and coordinate the build projects from start to finish, including organising the schedule of work Ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets and monitoring progress. Provide weekly and monthly reports as required by line manager Manage and optimise project budgets, track costs, and report on financial performance. Implement strategies to minimize costs and improve efficiencies without compromising quality. Work with the Tendering and Procurement dept and Quantity Surveyor in relation to the buying of necessary materials and equipment for delivery of projects Oversee the allocation of materials, equipment, and labour to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Maintain accurate records of site activities, progress reports, and compliance documentation for internal and external audits. What are we looking for? Proven experience as an Operations or Contracts Manager in civil engineering and/or solar/BESS energy projects. Strong understanding of civil construction processes, solar panel installation, and renewable energy systems. Detailed knowledge required to manage a diverse team of site managers, engineers, work force and contractors, so their day-to-day work is scheduled, controlled and managed. Excellent technical, and analytical skills with strong negotiation skills A proven track record in understanding and reporting against a P&L budgets Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of health and safety regulations, especially within the construction and renewable energy sectors. Valid driving license, willingness and ability to travel to various sites nationally is required Why join us?
