Having recently undertaken a restructure, the Directorate’s objective is to deliver an integrated approach to Human Resource Management and Organisational Development, based on insights, strategy and solution. We are investing in our systems, specifically Enterprise Resource Planning
The HR System & Data Team serves a business-critical role in maintaining and securing the HR systems to allow our business to function. The team lead on statutory reporting for the University for the HESA Staff return, as well as supporting wider HESA returns, sector surveys, Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information Requests. The team provide reports and insights to inform strategic decisions and planning.
About the Role:
No two data requests are the same, you will be required to work across the Directorate and University to collaborate to produce insights on topics such as, but not limited to, workforce planning, diversity, performance and talent. You will produce trend analysis, as well as data modelling to inform future activity.
Working as part of the HR Systems & Data team will involve managing routine and planned data requests and activities alongside the unplanned and ad hoc need of our stakeholder.
You will help develop our solutions with insights and dashboards whilst supporting this team develop their knowledge and experience in people analytics.
This role is fixed term for months.
About You:
1. You will have a proven track record of taking data from multiple sources, using data analysis and insights to inform decision making, having the ability to present data in an accessible format, using visualisation tools such as PowerBI.
2. You will have the ability to take information in quickly to understand your stakeholders needs and be able to understand different data sets to identify the most appropriate data to use.
3. You will have working knowledge of GDPR and data compliance to ensure the security of our data.
4. You will be able to manage multiple requests from different stakeholders with differing importance and deadlines.
5. You will be able to manage a team to support and empower them to develop and meet the team requirements and objectives
6. It would be desirable for you to have experience of delivering statutory returns for example Gender Pay Gap or HESA returns.
