The Role
We are hiring for a permanent Head of PMO to join the team here at Freshwave. Working for the Director of Delivery, this pivotal role ensures the successful delivery of our Portfolio, achieving time, cost, and quality objectives. You will lead the implementation of project management methodologies, establish robust governance frameworks across the end to end of our business, and enhance reporting tools to drive efficiency and consistency across the portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
* PMO Development & Governance leadership - Develop the PMO function to support operational activities and project delivery from Pipeline/Demand through to handover into Operations – end to end management of workflow.
* Process Improvement & Change Management - Implement consistent project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and reporting tools across business.
* Assurance - Provide guidance and assurance on programme and project management processes, tools, and techniques.
* Reporting – Define and set up standardized reporting across the portfolios. Monitor and report on portfolio progress, KPI performance, and deliverables. Maintain and enhance portfolio-wide reporting. Conduct analysis on Actuals vs Forecast performance across portfolios and create BI reporting trends on performance and provide recommendations for business improvement.
* Tooling - Drive the adoption of new PMO tool across the business and develop business reporting using a single source of truth.
* Resource Management – Set up a resource management approach for the business and provide support to the wider PMO team in embedding resource planning/capacity and demand management processes.
* Project Financials - Oversee portfolio project costs and support financial control processes supporting the Finance function with Project Accounting.
Minimum Requirements:
* A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in PMO roles with demonstrable leadership experience including line management experience.
* Proven expertise in developing & leading PMO functions, implementing governance, and driving strategic initiatives.
* Strong track record in risk management & business reporting.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in portfolio management tools, including SharePoint, MS Teams, and preferably Monday.com.
* Excellent understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
* P3O and Project Management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are desirable.
* Transformation / Delivering Change into teams experience desirable.
