Head of Delivery – Office Fit Out
TheShore Group have been appointed on behalf of a reputable Turnkey Design & Build Main Contractor who are seeking to appoint a Head of Delivery to join their team.
This is a unique opportunity to join a company that specialises in CAT B workplace services, including office design, fit-out, and workplace consultancy. With ambitious growth aspirations and a dedicated team, this role offers the ideal platform for a driven professional to take the next step in their career.
NOTE: There will be a requirement to travel to projects. Your base may be Sheffield, Edinburgh or London. Flexible / hybrid working arrangement is available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee project execution from inception to completion, ensuring seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
2. Manage project programming, procurement, risk mitigation, and aftercare.
3. Work closely with preconstruction and commercial teams to track financial performance and optimise costs.
4. Provide expert advice on construction methods and programming during the tender process.
5. Manage subcontractor relationships, supporting their selection and appointment.
6. Lead client engagement efforts, supporting the Head of Client Relations during pitches and updates.
7. Ensure compliance with Building Control and statutory regulations, overseeing project handovers.
8. Regularly provide project progress reports to clients, highlighting key risks and solutions.
9. Support the Board of Directors in shaping and refining operational and growth strategies.
Minimum Requirements
1. Currently working for a Design & Build office fit-out company or a Main Contractor within their commercial fit-out team.
2. Strong background in project management, with experience delivering CAT B fit-out projects.
3. Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, with individual project values between £1 Million - £10 Million (Note: higher end is not essential).
4. Ideally responsible for a minimum portfolio turnover of £15 million +.
5. Experienced in leading high-performing project delivery teams and executing complex turnkey projects.
6. Strong knowledge of preconstruction, contract management, and commercial strategy.
7. Commercially astute, with a focus on maximising gross profit while ensuring project efficiency.
8. Skilled in programme writing and adopting a structured, strategic approach to project management.
