What you’ll be doing Effectively manage a series of internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that people, processes and technology are as effective as possible in driving forward the payments capabilities and operational resilience that underpin the bank’s Important Business Services Motivating and influence people across the business and technology domains, including suppliers, whilst leading the prioritisation of Payments service and change product backlog items Defining and managing a robust product back log for your respective payment rails and drive the realisation of this with our technology teams, change teams, business teams, and suppliers Represent the bank at key industry events – engaging with a range of banking peers, providers, and payment schemes, ensuring we’re on the front foot prioritising product backlogs and allocating funding across both internal change and the change we drive through our suppliers Responsible for the performance of your payment rail(s), ensuring the payment systems they relate to are maintained, and any incidents relating to payment processing are resolved timely to minimise customer impacts As an expert, you’ll give clear direction, prioritising capabilities and outputs across both live service and change Ensure industry directions of travel, key decisions, and trends are documented and shared across our key stakeholders Be responsible for your payment rail(s) end to end, you will drive the capabilities to enhance performance against KPI measures – tangibly reporting progress and celebrating the teams successes We need you to have Subject Matter Expertise in your respective payment rail - end to end.
