We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Class Teacher to join an inclusive SEMH School in Colchester. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver well-structured lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH challenges.
* Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages personal and academic growth.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and implementing strategies to support development.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care and effective teaching strategies.
* Implement and uphold the school’s policies on behaviour management and safeguarding.
* Contribute to whole-school activities and initiatives to enrich the educational experience.
* Develop and adapt resources to engage students in creative and meaningful ways.
Qualifications and Experience
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Experience teaching in an SEMH or SEN setting.
* Knowledge of strategies to support students with SEMH needs.
* A reflective and adaptable approach to teaching and learning.
