Main duties As a Reception/EYFS Teaching Assistant in this role the main duties will entail closing gaps in learning whilst providing additional learning support as well as providing group interventions to 3-4 pupils requiring support with Speech and Language/Phonics. These will be instructed by the class teacher and learning activities will be planned and ready to be implemented. The ability to adopt a flexible approach is paramount as the learning activities may need to be tailored to meet the needs of the children. Being able to create and maintain positive relationships with children is important, meaning the child/children can build trust to assist their learning and development.
