The Opportunity:
A consumer insights and real time data technology scale-up, founded in 2016, who have scaled extensively since. This is a really exciting time to join the company, with the sigifnicant growth they have seen over the last year, this Account Management focussed role is key segment of a newly defined retail business unit in the company.
The technology empowers an extensive network of local people to collect actionable insights on behalf of leading brands across the Retail, FMCG, and CPG ecosystems. Already they are working closely with leading brands such as M&S, Waitrose, Camelot, Ferrero and LuckySaint to name a few.
As this is a retail focussed role you will undoubtely stand out if you have experience managing national accounts in this space. And you'll stand out even more if you've got a background in consumer insights or consumer data services.
The Role:
To give a snapshot this is predominanately an Account Management role, with a small amount of new business outreach (roughly 80-90% managing accounts). You'll be managing the enterprise accounts, with some responsility over small to medium sized accounts as well. Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Director you will be instrumental in driving financial and non-financial outcomes and leading blue-chip clients and projects underpinned by clearly defined clients plans.
Providing an excellent level of client service and close knit relationship building with senior stakeholders to drive value and grow accounts. This will require an inheritenlty flexible mindset and great attention to detail.
What you might bring...
* Leadership and execution of core clients plans, programmes and initiatives
* Understanding and dynamics of a P&L and commerciality to dynamically optimism key levers
* Proven track record in building client-led plans / budgets and deploying a digital / physical client contact programme
* Demonstrate high levels of competency in the core skills required of the role (advanced selling, negotiation, planning and financial literacy)
* Ability to develop and build strong client relationships and broad client networks, with the ability to balance client satisfaction / advocacy and shareholder outcomes
* Proven track record of developing and brilliantly executing client propositions and new business proposals
* Strong capability in process excellence to automate forecasting and streamline end to end client processes, embracing key software preferences like Hubspot
* You will have experience in leading and managing major strategic clients, able to demonstrate organisational selling and negotiation competencies
* People and problem identification and recommendation/implementation of optimal path to resolution
* Very comfortable in presenting client business reviews and plans, tracking performance and ensuring optimal delivery of both core and new projects
