Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant searching for the next step in your career? We are looking for a Rehabilitation Assistant to join us.
You will work closely with Registered Nurses and Therapists in the delivery of care and therapy plans to patients. You will participate in Pre and Post Operation Care, Rehabilitation, Assessment and Goal-setting. You will also assist with Health Promotion Programmes and Clinics.

The Dame Clare Marx Building houses our elective orthopaedic centre (ESEOC) and focuses on elective orthopaedic surgery and day cases. The centre has eight laminar flow theatres, three wards, recovery facilities, and support services including radiology and EBME.
Main duties of the job
1. Work in support of the Registered Nurses and Therapists.
2. Work within a team in the delivery of care and therapy plans, promoting independence as appropriate.
3. Make decisions, prioritize, and work unsupervised within boundaries agreed by the Ward Sister.
4. Identify changes from the norm and pass that information to the relevant professional person within a time-span relative to the urgency of the situation.

Qualifications
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy

Experience
* Experience at band 2 in a hospital setting
* Experience of working formally with post-operative patients
Knowledge
* Completed orthopaedic competencies
* Practically demonstrate orthopedics patient management skills
