Field Service Manager
Up to £57,000 + Company Car, Private Healthcare, Quarterly Bonus
Location: Solihull
My client is a leading design and manufacturer within their industry, boasting an ownership of over 80% of the market share they operate in. They have been operating successfully for a number of years and continued to grow even during the pandemic. Due to this significant and sustained growth, the Aftersales and Service business unit is looking to add a Field Service Manager to their team. The role would suit an individual from the plant hire, material handling, commercial vehicle, or lifting equipment background. Due to the nature of the role, around half of your time will be spent visiting customers to build on existing relationships.
The role of Field Service Manager:
1. Manage circa 15 Field Service Engineers
2. Manage absence, performance, and appraisals for the team.
3. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety procedures. Conduct risk assessments and method statements.
4. Carry out regular site monitoring.
5. Maintain relationships with customers, addressing any queries and complaints and improving service (visiting customers).
6. Manage recruitment of Engineers.
Ideally, the Field Service Manager will:
1. Have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Possess relevant technical qualifications.
3. Be a strong relationship builder.
4. Have experience within material handling, commercial vehicle, construction equipment, plant hire, or bespoke machinery.
