People Administrator (Apprenticeship)

Starting Salary: £12,147 to £16,322.80 (NMW age related) plus benefits and study

Office Based.
This is an exciting opportunity for a someone looking for a career in Personnel Practices to join our People team. Alongside your studies you will play an important part in supporting all the functions of the People Department, ensuring compliance and maximum efficiency and effectiveness with a particular focus on data collation to ensure a pro-active approach that provides appropriate HR support for managers, workers and volunteers, and to contribute to the creation and delivery of the NYMR’s strategic plan.
The successful candidate will have a great opportunity to develop their skills in contributing to the development of the people function within the whole organisation, and working as part of a small, friendly team.
The successful candidate will work towards the HR Support Level 3 qualification (A level equivalent) and have strong IT skills, in word and Excel. They will be organised, methodical in their approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage CV submission and updating CV database
• Carry out the administration of the full recruitment process from interview through to job offer and induction
• Assist with the on-boarding process or workers and volunteers
• Ensure personnel files are kept up to date support in the building of a new HRIS system
• Administer appointment offer letters & contracts of employment.
• Liaise with payroll department on new starters & employment changes.
• To be GDPR compliant adhering to the Data Protection Act and raising any potential issues/breaches
• Assist the People Officer in the People processes and procedures
• Provide administrative support to the Community Engagement Manager
• Regular travel as required to other workplaces.

Personal Specification:
Essential
• GCSE’s in Maths, English
• Computer literacy
• Strong IT skills
• The ability to maintain confidentiality
• Good communication skills
Desirable
• Further Qualifications in Maths and/or IT
• Relevant work experience
