An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and experienced Head of IT/Group Head of IT to join our dynamic and friendly team. This role is pivotal in facilitating the continued growth and expansion of our business while ensuring the seamless integration of IT services across two unified businesses. Key Responsibilities: Lead the consolidation of IT functions across two separate businesses. This includes a thorough review and integration of IT infrastructure and operations, ensuring a unified, efficient, and scalable IT service that meets the needs of all users. Oversee a diverse IT team spread across multiple locations, providing strong leadership, guidance, and support. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence. Manage and optimise IT infrastructure services, including LAN, WAN, Data Centres, and cloud solutions. Implement robust information management and security measures to protect the business’s data and ensure compliance with industry standards. Spearhead change management initiatives to implement new technologies, processes, and systems. Drive innovation and enhance productivity through strategic IT projects and continuous improvement efforts. Lead the post-acquisition IT integration process, merging systems, networks, and data seamlessly to support the newly combined business operations. Work closely with key stakeholders across various functions, including HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and Logistics, to ensure that IT solutions align with and support broader business objectives. Assess existing IT systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to support business needs. Provide expert advice on ERP, HR, and Finance systems, particularly within the logistics sector. Skills and Experience Required: A degree in IT or a related discipline. Strong knowledge and experience in information management principles and data security practices. Proven track record of leading IT teams across multiple locations, with excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills. Experience in the logistics sector, with familiarity in ERP, HR, Finance, and Supply Chain systems. In-depth knowledge of infrastructure services, including LAN, WAN, Data Centres, and public cloud platforms. Exceptional organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex information and requirements. Strong evaluation skills, with the ability to make informed decisions that align with business objectives. Experience managing IT services across multiple sites, with international exposure being advantageous, particularly within larger group structures. Demonstrated expertise in driving change and implementing new processes to deliver enhanced productivity and efficiency.
