P&U Job Description
About Us
At Direct Line Group, insurance is just the start. Combining decades of industry experience with talented people in every field, we’re a customer-obsessed market powerhouse. We all work together to be brilliant for customers, every single day.
Pricing and Underwriting is a complicated world, where historical data, geospatial information, and mathematical models meet talented analysts. Pricing our products is a fine line between balancing our business goals and customer needs. That’s why our Pricers and Underwriters are the best of the best. They reduce risk and predict future events ensuring our business can continue to grow whilst each and every one of our consumers gets the best price.
Join us as a Pricer in our Pricing & Underwriting Centre of Expertise. Here you’ll use your pricing skills to work with the pricing and underwriting community and our Risk teams to manage our P&U governance and control environment. You’ll support delivery of key pricing and underwriting control outcomes working across multiple tribes to drive alignment, best practice and compliance with the control environment.
What you’ll be doing
Working in an agile way means you’ll take charge early on, soak up new experiences and most importantly you’ll positively influence and shape what we do – making an impact on our customers' lives. We’ll utilise your skills where they are most needed whilst also giving you the opportunity to build and grow the breadth of your expertise.
As part of your role, you will support the management, ongoing development and oversight of the P&U control environment to ensure compliance with legislation and regulation and the safe delivery of pricing and underwriting change. You will complete key pricing tasks to support delivery of control outcomes in a timely and effective manner.
You’ll report to the Head of P&U Centre of Expertise as part of the wider COE team.
What you’ll need
* Good pricing skills ideally with 2-3 years of experience
