Join a well-established, positive, and growing strategic procurement team that influences how services are designed, shaped, and delivered to benefit local residents. Your New Role As a Procurement Manager, you will lead the procurement activities for Adult & Children’s Social Care, Public Health, and Education. You will strategically guide the purchasing of goods, works, and services to ensure compliance with public sector regulations and deliver efficient, high-quality services to residents. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end procurement process across assigned categories, managing direct awards, framework call-offs, mini-competitions, and full tenders. Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across directorates. Provide professional, timely, and accurate advice on procurement strategy, policy, and related activities to senior management. Participate in the formulation and implementation of corporate, divisional, and service policies and action plans. Support the creation and implementation of organisation-wide procurement policies. Facilitate collaboration with other public sector organisations to improve procurement outcomes. Monitor and support the delivery of procurement activities within the organisation. Promote the organisation's procurement policies and best practices. Lead projects to identify and deliver savings and efficiencies through procurement and commissioning. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance procurement skills within the organisation. What You’ll Need to Succeed A relevant degree or procurement & supply chain qualification, or professional experience within the sector. Hands-on experience within the public sector and a deep understanding of public sector regulations (PCR15), including experience with call-offs, mini-competitions, and full tenders. Experience of procuring goods and services within Adult & Children's Social Care, Public Health or Education is necessary. Experience working across the entire procurement process. Strong communication, stakeholder, and supplier management skills.
