Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Daily process and input of all customer orders and distribution accounts.
2. Provide daily operational reports that are accurate and timely.
3. Run stock reports to check for product availability.
4. Generate all related paperwork and necessary information required for customer work
orders, checks all orders for special requests and posts inventory
records.
5. Perform accurate and timely data entry for receiving, order allocation, shipping
and inventory management.
6. Rate domestic transportation bills.
7. Coordinate special, last minute shipping requests with the Transportation and
Operations Departments, expediting any order as necessary.
8. Trace orders as required and notify customers of activity concerning their order.
9. Ensure accurate and timely client and vendors billing.
10. Maintain damage records and backorder logs.
11. Handle returned merchandise in an efficient manner and ensures proper credit is
given to the customer.
12. Input all receipts, putaways, moves, picks, shipments and cycle counts
13. Communicate effectively with customers as required.
14. Provide warehouse staff with necessary documents and information needed to
complete receiving, and to ship orders.
15. Maintain excellent working relationships with customers by responding to all
inquiries and complaints concerning work orders, invoices, shipments,
inventory counts, etc. in a courteous and efficient manner.
16. Report customer feedback to management, including any signs of customer
dissatisfaction.
17. Act as a liaison between the warehouse and the customer in administration of
accounts and between the office and customer regarding invoicing and
credit information.
18. Contribute to maintain strong relationships with vendors (trucking companies, and others).
19. Provide support with other miscellaneous projects, filing and research
20. Oversee all paperwork associated with orders and maintain the corresponding files.
21. Maintain a current and accurate DLSOP that details the processing requirements for
each account.
22. Answer phone calls according to Expeditors standards
23. Receive inventory.
24. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
Qualifications
25. 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
26. Previous experience in inventory control and/or distribution operations.
27. Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend,
effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
28. Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
29. Displayed ability to work independently with minimal supervision
30. Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
