Red Recruitment is recruiting an Import Clerk in Felixstowe, near Ipswich to join our client, a global shipping logistics servicing business. You will have a team of 3-4 people reporting in to you and you will be completing a variety of tasks covering finance, administration and logistics. The salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum and is a full-time, permanent position. Previous administration experience or experience in a similar role is preferred. Package for an Import Clerk: Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm Contract Type: Permanent Location: Felixstowe Key Responsibilities of an Import Clerk: Arranging releases and container deliveries Arranging and processing invoices for customers Completing customs clearance and CHED documents Liaising regularly with overseas offices, partners or agents Being responsible for arranging and completing all associated paperwork, to ensure the nature of the goods are legal and legitimate Establishing contacts and relationships with HM Customs to ensure efficient transfer of goods through the legal process Key Skills and Experience of an Import Clerk: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, if not strong administration skills is required Clear communication skills are required You should be IT literate as you will be required to use software's such as Destin8/CNS Organised, punctual and fast working are all required attributes If you are interested in this position and have the relevant experience required, please apply now Red Recruitment (Agency)
