Contract: Permanent Location: Hybrid (Head Office: Quorum Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne) This is a hybrid working role, so you’ll need to be able to work from our Head Office 2 days per month Hours per week: 37 Salary: from £63,814 depending on experience plus £5,000 car allowance About the role We're excited to be looking for a Head of Assessment Design and Improvement to join our Solutions team. This role exists to lead the continuous improvement of assessment design and implementation across NCFEs assessment portfolio. In this role, you’ll ensure compliance to NCFEs key assessment processes and strategies using technical knowledge and other data to identify improvements to the NCFE assessment approach and identify training and development needs. This role will lead the design and continuous improvement of high stake assessments at NCFE. Giving the individual exposure to internal and external stakeholders such as Executive, Ofqual, DfE and Skills England. How you'll make an impact: • Lead the Assessment Governance team ensuring robust internal audit mechanisms are in place that ensure the design, production and delivery of NCFE Assessments are high quality • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including DfE, Ofqual and Skills England that leads to their assurance in NCFE’s assessment expertise • Responsible for the development, implementation, and embedding of continuous improvement in NCFE’s learning solutions • Accountable for the effective delivery of assessment based training across the operation • Work closely and build an excellent working relationship with NCFE’s Senior Technical Standards Manager to evaluate assessment data and draw conclusions on the effectiveness of the assessment strategies and tools • Lead on the regular review and maintenance of assessment design strategies, ensuring that they remain fair, valid and set an appropriate standard for employers, learners and the sectors they serve • Collaborate effectively and build excellent working relationship with NCFE’s Research and Innovation team, identifying opportunities for assessment research and translating this into learning across the operation.
