About the Role
An opportunity has arisen with Chelmer Medical Partnership in Chelmsford for an experienced, part-time prescription clerk to work 15 hours per week to join our busy prescription team. This key role will ensure the timely processing of repeat and acute medication according to current surgery protocols.
The main duties include:
* Ensuring a safe and efficient operation by processing repeat prescriptions via email, online, or in person.
* Liaising with our GPs, clinical pharmacists, and community pharmacies regarding queries and requests.
* Managing enquiries from patients.
* Providing patient education and advice where appropriate.
The successful applicant will need to be flexible to work extra hours covering colleagues’ sickness and holiday absence.
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Previous experience working within a similar role.
* Experience of working in a busy, public environment.
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Good IT skills.
* Be flexible, with a positive attitude.
* Demonstrate good team working and communication skills.
* Demonstrate an excellent standard of patient care.
* General practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne would be an advantage.
