This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our Force Transformation Department as a Business Change Programme Manager.
As the Business Change Programme Manager, you will oversee the implementation of transformational change initiatives, assisting the designated Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) to guarantee the achievement of specified programme and project benefits.
Initially you will be responsible for overseeing the replacement of the Force records management system, a 40-year-old, in-house-developed system which supports the delivery of Policing services and helping to successfully embed the new system across the organisation.
You will identify and manage risks and dependencies, ensuring successful delivery of programmes within the agreed timelines.
What you’ll do
* Ensure the successful delivery of programmes through focus on the consistent delivery of the project framework standards whilst considering external factors such as infrastructure planning and interfaces with other programmes.
* Support the planning, design and delivery of programmes by proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues, and taking appropriate actions to ensure the successful mobilisation of projects within the programme framework.
* Manage the project pipeline, prioritise and schedule projects, manage project resources and make recommendations to the Force Change Board.
* Manage within programme governance arrangements to ensure that defined programme benefits are realised, risks and interdependencies are identified and managed, and programmes are delivered successfully within agreed timescales.
* Maintaining, adapting and improving project governance protocols in conjunction with fellow Programme Managers to ensure ongoing effective delivery of projects, providing regular programme reports to show progress against key deliverables, highlighting any key risks and decisions required across projects.
* Implement Communications and Engagement initiatives so that the Force understands any changes and their associated impacts and benefits.
What you’ll bring
* Significant experience managing projects or programmes.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Experience of working within service / process improvement following LEAN methodology.
* Ability to manage a project or programme budget.
* Ability to coach and develop staff to achieve their potential in accordance with an identified career pathway.

Terms of appointment
This is a permanent role subject to a six-month probationary period.
