Security Delivery Consultant, Cyber Architecture

Job Description
6point6, now a part of Accenture, are recruiting Cyber Security Architects to join our growing Cyber practice. Leading with strategy, architecture, and design, we connect cloud, data, and cyber to engineer and deliver large-scale, complex transformations across public and private sectors, working with some of the most complex and interesting technology problems in the UK today. A previous career in cyber security / architecture is preferred but not essential. We welcome anyone with a passion for cyber security to work with us in supporting our clients to solve problems and deliver lasting value. Every client is different and has a unique set of challenges. Everyone brings something different to 6point6; you do not have to meet all of the requirements to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and/or assist the design of the security architecture for high-profile, public facing, government digital services.
2. Contribute to the definition of internal and client digital transformation and security strategy.
3. Support the development of roadmaps for large programmes of work.
4. Utilise industry best practice and standards (e.g. NCSC, CIS) to understand client challenges and operating environments.
5. Work closely with Enterprise Architecture teams and other teams to provide risk and threat-based advice on systems designs.
6. Build effective relationships with our clients and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have the following skills and competencies:
1. Working knowledge of cyber security, including standards, design patterns and frameworks relevant to security architecture.
2. Knowledge of market leading security technologies and solutions.
3. Display competence in a breadth of technologies (appropriate to the level of the role) and an appreciation of how they can be combined and applied to solve customer problems.
4. Effectively manage both internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure shared outcomes are reached.
5. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
6. Explain complex technical solutions to both a technical and non-technical audience.
7. Demonstrate critical thinking by analysing and evaluating information and using information gathered to present solutions to stakeholder groups and influence decision making.
If you have any of the below skills, then this would be beneficial but not required:
1. Familiarity with major Cloud technologies, working experience of at least one major PaaS provider, e.g. Azure or AWS.
2. Experience with architectural concepts, methodologies and approaches.
3. Hands-on technical experience, preferably from a cyber security practice, such as security monitoring, systems engineering or working with security management systems.
Whilst having experience in consultancy is beneficial, demonstrable experience in working with clients/external partners in other settings will always be considered. Due to the nature of the client engagements, every employee needs to be able to achieve Security Clearance. This means that you need to have the right to take up employment within the UK, do not have or require any visa to work, and have been resident in the UK for at least 5 years without any gap(s) totalling more than 6 months.
Our hybrid work pattern that typically sees employees in the office for 2 days per week, although this may be more or less depending on the project’s requirements. We aim to work with you to be as accommodating as possible to your needs as well as those of our clients. You should be able to easily commute to our London or Manchester offices. For some roles/projects, travel to the clients’ offices will be required and the frequency is often determined by the client.
