We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a friendly and supportive school in Paignton, Devon. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pupils, providing targeted support to help children reach their full potential. This part-time role is ideal for someone with a flexible schedule and a genuine desire to make a difference in education. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils in their learning activities, both in small groups and one-on-one. Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons under the direction of the class teacher. Help to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment. Provide support to children with additional needs, ensuring they feel valued and included. Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and other staff members. About You We are looking for someone who: Has previous experience working with children in an educational setting (experience working with children is essential - in an education setting is desirable). Demonstrates patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. Is enthusiastic and committed to supporting children’s learning and well-being. Has a good understanding of safeguarding practices (training can be provided). Holds relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential).
