The Head of Diagnostic Services will work with colleagues at all levels to facilitate collaboration, including senior clinicians, executives, and teams across Surrey Heartlands.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the development, management, and implementation of all aspects of the Diagnostic Programme including:
1. Surrey Heartlands Diagnostic Centre (CDC) model and future business cases.
2. Surrey, Sussex and Frimley Imaging network.
3. Overview of diagnostics: Endoscopy, Physiological Measurements, Pathology, Imaging/Radiology, and Genomics.
4. Work with population health colleagues to reduce health inequalities through targeted interventions.
5. Liaise with NHSE/ICB/Trust provider collaborative/Trusts to ensure any deviation to performance trajectories are flagged and corrective actions are agreed.
6. Implement and monitor against standardised clinical pathways.
The Head of Diagnostic Services will also coordinate the transfer of any revenue and capital funds allocated to the relevant trusts and/or Places, support key clinical networks to redesign pathways, and ensure seamless access and interventions for the population within Surrey Heartlands.
