About the Company:
We are a well-established HVAC and Refrigeration company, delivering high-quality commercial plumbing and mechanical services across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for a proactive and technically-minded individual to join our team as a Technical Assistant, working closely with our Technical Director.
Role Overview:
This role is ideal for someone with an HNC in Building Services Engineering (or working towards it), looking to apply their knowledge in a hands-on role supporting the planning and delivery of commercial HVAC and plumbing projects. You’ll work closely with the Technical Director and wider project team to assist in technical planning, coordination, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Technical Director with the planning and preparation of HVAC and refrigeration projects.
* Assist with technical drawings, specifications, and design layouts.
* Help coordinate project schedules, equipment, and materials.
* Liaise with engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather technical data and ensure smooth project execution.
* Assist with risk assessments, compliance documentation, and health & safety procedures.
* Support in the review of technical documentation, drawings, and O&M manuals.
* Maintain accurate project records and assist with reporting.
* Attend site visits when required to support technical assessments and surveys.
Key Requirements:
* HNC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent (or currently studying towards it).
* Understanding of HVAC, refrigeration, and commercial plumbing is a bonus, but not essential as full training will be provided.
* Strong attention to detail is essential and ability to interpret technical drawings and documents would be advantageous.
* Good communication and organisation skills.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and basic design software (AutoCAD knowledge a bonus) would also work in your favour but training will be provided.
* Willingness to learn and develop within a growing technical team.
* Driving license preferred (site visits may be required).
