What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for an exceptional Head of Sixth Form (Business, IT or Science Specialism) to join our team for January 2024.
Thank you for your interest in joining our school. We're proud to have been rated 'Good' by Ofsted and are working to become a national leader in education. At MAP, we are driven by a clear and ambitious core belief: every student who joins us has the potential to get to and through university. While we recognize that this may not be the right path for all of our students, we firmly believe that having this option is a hallmark of a successful, high-quality education—one that enables our students to excel in top careers and live their best lives. We combine academic rigor with a joyful learning experience, ensuring our students gain the knowledge, experiences, and support needed to achieve their dreams.
This is an exciting time to take on this crucial leadership role in our academy. Sixth form outcomes have improved to national average and 70% of our students go on to university, including the most academically selective. We are looking for a candidate who can further grow our sixth form so that it becomes a beacon of excellence in the city and beyond. This role combines academic and pastoral leadership and so is a natural route to senior leadership, indeed you will work closely with the senior leadership team and will have opportunities to attend SLT meetings if you wish.
