Hours: Full-time, 8.30am to 5pm, January 2025 - August 2025 (with potential for permanent role)

Core Purpose
As a Safeguarding, Behaviour and Inclusion Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing pastoral assistance to students and supporting the implementation of key student support systems, particularly those related to safeguarding, behaviour, and inclusion. You will help to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment, ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed.

General Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities as a Safeguarding, Behaviour and Inclusion Assistant:
* Participate in the school's performance management scheme.
* Attend meetings and perform duties as reasonably required.
* Engage in continuous professional development through in-service training.
* Contribute to the school's pastoral system and uphold the school's ethos.
* Support the school's overall mission and vision.
* Perform additional duties as directed by the Headteacher.
Specific Responsibilities
* Support the management of concerns related to behaviour and attitudes.
* Provide targeted support for students on behaviour reports and track progress.
* Liaise with parents and pastoral leaders, managing feedback on student behaviour.
* Lead investigations into behaviour incidents, ensuring swift and fair resolution.
* Promote the school's values of being ready, responsible, and respectful within individual students.
* Coordinate the referral room and manage detentions to ensure students are held accountable in a fair and supportive environment.
* Prepare reports and necessary paperwork on student behaviour for Heads of Year or Senior Leadership Team.
* Manage appointments and liaise with external agencies as needed.
* Maintain student files and chronologies to ensure accurate records are kept.
* Manage and administer CAFs, MASH referrals, Social Services follow-ups, and other welfare meetings.
* Develop relationships with external agencies, ensuring students receive the appropriate support.
* Run and assess small group interventions such as Anger Management, Self-Esteem, Friendship Groups, and Family Issues support.
* Provide pastoral support during break and lunch duties, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

* Adhere to policies relating to Child Protection, Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, and SEND Code of Practice.
* Support the role of other professionals in the school community.
* Participate in relevant meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
