We are currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll Officer in the Tameside area
1. Monday – Friday
2. Office based hours a week
Duties include:
3. Completing the end-to-end payroll process
4. Processing accurate wages and salaries
5. Calculating NI, tax and statutory pay including maternity, paternity and sickness pay
6. Supporting the payroll administrators within the team, assisting with any training
7. Organising and prioritising the teams’ tasks for the day
8. Communicating with external clients including pension providers and HMRC
9. Answering payroll relating queries via email and telephone
10. Completing weekly and monthly pension contributions and completing auto- enrolment processes before deadlines
11. Understanding current legislations including NMW, student loan and statutory payments
The successful candidate:
12. Desirably has a CIPP Diploma in payroll
13. Worked on several payroll software’s previously
14. Has a minimum of two- three years’ payroll experience
15. Has strong time management, prioritising and organisational skills
16. Knowledge of payroll legislation
17. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
18. Has experience working in a fast-paced environment and working towards deadlines
