Job Title: Junior Content Writer: Ecommerce – Vaping Niche

Job Purpose:
To work with the wider content team to support the ecommerce site’s growth and visibility by creating, updating, and optimising content for category and product pages, reviewing blogs for relevance and quality, and writing compelling meta titles and descriptions that enhance user engagement and search engine performance.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Write, update, and optimise content for category and product pages to ensure accuracy, relevance, and engagement.
2. Review and refresh blog posts, aligning them with current trends, company objectives, and SEO best practices.
3. Create clear, concise, and effective meta titles and descriptions to improve click-through rates and search engine rankings.
4. Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging across the site.
5. Ensure all content meets the company’s quality standards and adheres to SEO guidelines.
6. Stay updated on ecommerce and content writing trends to bring fresh ideas to the role.

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
Knowledge:
* Understanding of content writing principles, including tone, structure, and audience engagement.
* Basic knowledge of SEO, including keyword research and optimisation techniques.
* Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and online shopping behaviours.
* Awareness of digital marketing trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
* A degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
* Relevant certifications in content writing, SEO, or digital marketing (desirable).
Experience:
* Previous experience in content writing, blogging, or digital copywriting, ideally within an ecommerce environment.
* Experience using content management systems (CMS) to update and manage website content.
* Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy for various digital channels.
* Familiarity with tools such as Google Analytics, keyword research tools, or SEO software (e.g., SEMrush or Ahrefs) is advantageous.
* Experience working collaboratively in a team environment to achieve shared goals.

1. Deciding how to structure and present content on category and product pages to enhance readability and user engagement.
2. Determining updates or changes needed to improve the relevance and quality of existing blogs.
3. Crafting meta titles and descriptions that balance search engine optimisation with user appeal.
