Superior Recruitment Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Assistant based in Gateshead.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Daily monitoring of all purchase orders, checking for approval, distribute to suppliers and matching to
purchase invoices through Lightyear
• Point of contact for procurement across the business, including monitoring
• Clearing purchasing and accounts inboxes to ensure all queries have been actioned
• Production of weekly sales invoices
• Credit control assistance
• Support of month end close for AP and AR including statement reconciliations
• Assisting with month end journals
• Quarterly VAT return preparation
• Processing of bi-weekly payment run
• Processing of staff expenses and credit card reconciliations
• Support for customs bonded import/export administration
• Involvement in projects and other ad-hoc tasks as required
Skills & Knowledge Specification
Essential
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar finance role.
• Excellent excel and computer skills are required
• Strong attention to detail, a decent understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
• Understanding of accounting software systems
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Can do attitude
Desirable
• Experience of Xero accounting software
• Experience of Lightyear – purchasing and AP platform
Working Schedule
• 100% office based, 8.00am to 4.30pm Mon to Fri
