Technical CI Manager Based inCarlton, Barnsley, S71 3HF -The home of Mr Kipling Salary - £45,000 - £55,000 per annum Permanent, Full time (39 hours per week, 08:30 - 17:00) Closing Date - Friday 4th April A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for a Technical CI Manager to join the team.You will be responsible for providing appropriate technical expertise to facilitate the continuous improvement of bakery processes, systems, equipment and raw materials with the aim of ensuring compliance to required standards and improving quaility, performance and costs. The successful candidate will: Manage the day to day work of Technical project Co-ordinators and input into their skills development and PDR. Manage factory trials with Operations and BIP teams. Liaise with all functions to progress projects. Product and Raw Materials Expertise: Utilise alternative ingredients/suppliers to enhance performance and reduce costs of ingredients. Understands the role of materials and equipment functionality in the manufacturing process. Responsible for Technical sign off of new equipment and asset modifications. Innovation: Manages a systematic process with the team through to implementation. Data and Knowledge Management: Reports and trends on gathered data, creating IT based solutions where applicable and gives advice based on existing generated data and knowledge. Applying Technology to the Business: Communicates technical information in a way that is relevant to the target audience. What we need from you: Ability to work under pressure and respond to short term demands. Is flexible to meet the business needs. Good team working skills and experience of working across multi disciplines. People management experience with direct responsibility for a team. Experience within food manufacturing essential Qualification in Food Science, Quality, Hygiene or relevant experience (Desirable) Experience working in bakery and knowledge of bakery equipment.
