Band 6 Physiotherapist - Respiratory Support Unit
A great opportunity has arisen to join our team on the Respiratory Support Unit at Glenfield hospital. This role plays a key part in supporting patients with complex respiratory needs including non-invasive ventilation and tracheostomies. You will gain experience in complex airway management, complex discharges and be key in promoting patients' recovery and rehabilitation. The role will also allow you to work closely with the MDT and gain skills in supervision and leadership.
You will be working alongside an established team of Physiotherapists to develop your clinical, leadership, teaching and service development skills whilst working within a supportive and motivated department.
You will demonstrate effective communication, prioritisation and organisational skills within a large multidisciplinary team, whilst being responsible for managing a complex clinical caseload from assessment to discharge or transfer of care.
You will receive regular supervision and appraisal and will actively be involved in service development, audit, research and evidence-based practice.
We Have Four Primary Goals
1. high-quality care for all,
2. being a great place to work,
3. partnerships for impact, and
4. research and education excellence
And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.
Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
1. we are compassionate,
2. we are proud,
3. we are inclusive, and
4. we are one team
This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
