This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College.
In order to comply with our mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based People Services Department.
This role is pro rata so the salary you will be receiving is £17,316.10 - £18,977.94 per annum.
There is flexibility in regard to the days 4 working days.

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position as you will be working within 'Regulated Activity' within a specific place (i.e. the College).

BACKGROUND TO THE POST
The College MIS team is responsible for the collection, processing and management of the College’s core data, including programmes, enrolment, examinations, funding and achievements.
The Exams Officer plays a crucial role within the team, liaising with many different examining bodies and therefore the ability to understand and execute regulations is crucial to success in this post.
JOB PURPOSE
1. To be responsible for managing the effective and efficient administration of external
examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations (on behalf of the JCQ member awarding bodies) and/or awarding body rules for exams administration in a consistent and secure fashion, thereby helping to maintain the integrity of the assessment process
2. To support the Head of Exams in ensuring that the centre is compliant with the JCQ
regulations and awarding body requirements in order to ensure the security and integrity of the examinations/assessments at all times
3. To act on behalf of, and be the main point of contact for, the centre in matters relating to the general administration of awarding body examinations and assessments
4. To closely liaise with key staff (external and internal) to ensure exams administration processes are strictly followed and key deadlines met
5. To ensure examinations are conducted in accordance with the regulations
6. Through taking an ethical approach and working proactively to avoid malpractice among students and staff, supports the head of exams in taking all reasonable steps to prevent the occurrence of any malpractice/maladministration before, during the course of and after examinations have taken place
The post is managed by the Head of Exams.

Essential Attainments
✓Previous experience of working in exams or relevant field i.e Education or Healthcare setting
✓Word processing skills and knowledge of MS Office (specifically databases) are essential.
✓Previous experience of using high attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and Data management.
✓GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or equivalent. Applicants willing to achieve while in post will be considered.
✓Effective administration and organisational skills.
✓Ability to drive and access to a car as travel between the sites will be required.
✓Working knowledge of information technology such as e-mail, the internet and relevant software applications.
✓Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
