What is the opportunity?
The role of Senior Associate, Product Governance, is to aid the WME (Wealth Management Europe) Product Owners and Risk Owners, regarding any queries relating to product governance. You will act as the key co-ordination point for timely management of product governance processes, including setting up meetings, and taking minutes.
What will you do?
* Assist in implementing new and improved processes, procedures, and controls.
* Work with your line manager to execute on integration plan for Product Governance and ensure products/services are reviewed in accordance with target timeline.
* Help produce Management Information (MI)/reporting to management committees/project teams as needed.
* Draft papers with the support from Product Owners and line managers.
* Ensure draft papers are released for risk assessment, post Product Owner review, and facilitate process for risk assessors to ask questions in a coordinated timely manner.
* Ensure active management of key milestones in the Product Governance processes, so that papers reach the New Business Committee in accordance with agreed timelines.
* Assist in maintaining comprehensive procedural documentation.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
* Knowledge of product governance requirements including PROD, PRIN and COLL rulebooks.
* Knowledge of Consumer Duty and the underlying responsibilities.
* Excellent customer service and experience working with stakeholders.
* Risk awareness experience.
* Strong organisational communication and influencing skills.
* Excellent Microsoft technical competency (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Nice-to-have:
* Knowledge of financial planning, investment management and asset management.
* Relevant professional qualifications, such as the CISI, IOC, CFA, ACA.
* An understanding of the products and services offered by RBC in Europe as well as Brewin Dolphin in the UK.
