JOB TITLE: Production Team Leader
REPORTS TO: Production Shift Manager
Location: Ornua Foods UK, Leek
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience

Are you a Team Leader looking for the challenge of taking a mission driven organisation to its next level of success?
Ornua is actively seeking a Team Leader to join our Operational team as we continue our growth trajectory. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in; overseeing all direct reports to ensure timely and efficient food production to agreed product quality, safety, and hygiene standards. You will lead and drive performance and have the ability to identify and implement key improvements while ensuring consistency of approach across all shifts. You will champion operational standards at shift level and promote team development to achieve goals and KPIs.
You will be an agile, collaborative people leader and will be lead a team of around 20 colleagues and will be part of a wider production shift and operational team.

Why This Role Is Valuable:
The Team Leader will;
9. Ensure that the team adhere to safe working practices and good housing keeping
10. Ensure compliance with all Quality, Food Safety and Legislation requirements.
11. To take full accountability for the Zone performance in terms of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation and Environment (SQCDME).
12. Ensure product quality, food hygiene and food safety standards are communicated, understood, and complied with by Production Operatives prioritising First Time Quality.
13. Ensure all direct reports are aware of required tasks and delegate duties accordingly.
14. Responsible for the accurate, timely, collation and analysis of performance measurables and initiate remedial action.
15. Build strong working relationships with other Zone Leaders and key interfaces to ensure a consistent management approach
16. Develop zone capabilities and improve Zone performance
17. To embed an ethos of Continuous Improvement using standardised business tools and techniques to achieve results
18. Ensure a continuous workflow is maintained in line with orders.
19. Assist in waste reduction activities, identifying areas for improvement.
20. Ensure all required personnel and production paperwork is completed daily.
21. Ensure effective communication channels are adopted and adhered to throughout the zones.

24. Experience in change control is essential along with good communication skills with the ability to relay information to your team.
25. Well-practiced planning, organisation and scheduling skills.
26. Someone who loves the pace and excitement of FMCG manufacturing
27. You must be computer literate with an excellent working knowledge of MS Excel
