For this particular role, we are looking for someone to help implement data governance policies and procedures. You will work closely with the legal team to ensure that they align with government standards and GDPR regulations, whilst working within the data team to report on quality metrics and issues. Our client has new and exciting upcoming projects to work on, so this is well suited for someone who likes to keep busy!
Responsibilities:
1. Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders
2. Develop concept models for inventory data assets
3. Implement and continuously improve data governance frameworks, policies and procedures
4. Drive specific data governance initiatives and working groups
5. Ensure awareness and engagement with data governance concepts with key stakeholders
6. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices for governance
7. Manage a community of data owners from within stakeholder teams
8. Provide training on best data governance practices
Essentials:
1. Proven experience in data analysis, data management, data governance or related role
2. Strong understanding of data governance frameworks
3. Strong understanding of best practices
4. Risk management experience with data and GDPR compliance
5. Experience of measuring and improving data quality
The team works on a hybrid model, which tends to lean more towards three days on site in St Andrews.
