Job overview
We are looking for a Band 7 Audiologist or Clinical Scientist (Audiology) to join the paediatric audiology leadership team at Oxford University Hospitals. This is an ideal post for an experienced Paediatric Audiologist / Clinical Scientist who would like to further develop their leadership, management, and advanced clinical skills.
Main duties of the job
The role is primarily concerned with the delivery of advanced clinical practice in paediatric audiology, including behavioural testing in children considered non-routine, objective testing, and hearing aid fitting and verification. The post carries line-management responsibility, and the post holder will work closely with the Head of Paediatric Audiology in developing the service, supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior members of staff.

Qualifications
* BSc Audiology, PTP Healthcare Science (Audiology) or MSc in audiology with CAC / HTS, or STP in neurosciences (audiology modality)
* Evidence of further specialist training / qualifications in paediatric audiology
* State registered with HCPC as a Clinical Scientist (audiology modality) or with AHCS as an Audiologist
* MSc Audiology
* Evidence of further specialist training in paediatric habilitation
* Management / leadership training and qualification
Experience
* Evidence of recent CPD activities
* Significant experience working as a band 6+ specialist paediatric audiologist / Clinical Scientist, in an NHS context
* Extensive experience of behavioural hearing assessment in children of all ages
* Experience of objective hearing assessment in children including OAE and ABR
* Extensive experience of hearing aid fitting and verification in children
* Experience of training other members of staff
* Previous NHS experience
